Vrindavan, about 15 kilometers from Mathura is second (after Mathura) most important pilgrimage centre in Bhraj bhoomi.

The place is very much associated with the youth full days of Lord Krishna. It is here he spent many time with his consort Radha-rani.

At presnt, Vrindavan is dotted with many temples. Govind Deo temple is prominent among them. The temple was built in 1590 by General Mansingh of Mughal emperor Akbar’s court. The emperor took personal interest on building the temple.

The Sri Krishna-Balram temple of ISKON (International Society for Sri Krishna Consciousness) is a beautiful modern temple in Vrindavan.

Besides, there is also the Madan Mohan temple located near the Kali ghat. This temple is closely associated with the great Krishna devotee Sri Chaithanya Mahaprabhu.

Vrindavan is easily accessible from Mathura by road.
