An ancient abode of Lord Shiva.

Legend is that one day the divine calf of Kamadhenu, while playing in the nearby forest got stuck on a hard object. Blood gushed out from it.

Later a sacred Siva Linga was recovered from the spot, where this temple was built.

The temple is one of the Panchasabha temples of Lord Nataraja. Here he is worshipped as Gold plated (Kanakasabha) idol.

The temple is seven kilometers from Coimbatore, on the banks of river Noyyal.
