Second of the Panch Kedar temples.
It is believed ,Bahu (Hands) of the divine bull (Lord Shiva) appeared at this place.
This is said to be the highest Hindu temple in the World lying at an altitude of 3,680 meters above the sea level.
Legend tells us that both Lord Sriram and Ravan, heroes of Hindu epic Ramayan, did penance at this place.
One need to take atrekking of about four kilometers from Chopra- the nearest road access. This trekking provides a panoramic view of Himalayas.
Rishikesh, nearest rail head is about 240 kilometers away.
