Ashwaklanta (Lord Vishnu) Temple

Spread the love

A famous Hindu temple of the region, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is on the banks of the river Brahmaputra.

Legend says that Lord Krishna camped here to kill the demon Narakasur. After killing the demon, Krishna came back here to take rest. He also said to have set his footprint over here. So, many consider this as the ‘’dwiteeya Gaya’’ (the first being the Vishnupad temple at Gaya).

The temple is near to Guwahati.
